The Pete Turpin Band, from Lynchburg, is a group of excellent musicians who play great songs from different genres like blues, southern rock, rock ‘n roll, and outlaw country, while having fun interacting with the crowd.  Pete has been playing music for 25 years and is a natural entertainer. He’s a harmonica, guitar playing, songwriter, that likes to have a good time. Along with band members Steve Freeman, Robin Tolley, Chris Dewitt and Mike Gilbert, the Pete Turpin Band knows how to put on a show and a guaranteed good time.

Tony Camm & The Funk Allstars

Tony Camm & The Funk Allstars is a high-energy “psychedelic funk circus” hailing out of Central Virginia, with a touring show that features covers of George Clinton, Parliament, Funkadelic, funky renditions of Grateful Dead tunes and their own originals. Recently the group competed in the Rock’n to Lock’n contest for a spot on this national stage in September. The group, by popular vote, made it to the finals held in Charlottesville. The Allstars, lead by Tony Camm, can have as many as 12 musicians on stage at one time, it’s a party onstage!

Open Mic featuring Local Talent

Back by popular demand, Uncle Billy’s Day will be showcasing local talent in an Open Mic format. Local favorite, Jodie Davis, has been hosting Open Mic weekly for four years in Lynchburg and will bring this format to the UBD Booker Building Stage on Saturday. Festival goers will have the chance to hear a variety of up and coming talent perform. Starting his solo artist career in 2016, country artist Eric Gress has opened for several big name acts like Luke Combs, Travis Tritt, Sammy Kershaw and more. Being from a small town in Virginia hours away from Nashville it’s very hard to get recognition as a country artist but he’s gained fans from Nashville to Myrtle Beach, SC and everywhere in between. Influences include Zac Brown Band, Eric Church, Luke Combs, Coldplay, Alman Brothers, The Eagles, Chris Stapleton, Boston, Journey, and many many more.

Rare Form is Virginia’s premier modern country cover band. With their Rock Hard/Play Hard attitude, the guys of Rare Form are one of a kind when it comes to entertainment. Band members Mike Roach, Jason Holland, Joe Litchford and Thomas Tolley use their own personal technique that is interconnecting with one another to create a scene that can be called nothing less than “a show stopper”. They are dedicated to staying current with top forty country and have opened for many national artists including Confederate Railroad, John Michael Montgomery, Chris Cagle, Tracy Lawrence, Joe Diffie and others. The best live entertainment around playing your favorite top 40 country hits with originality and uniqueness. They give a performance that will bring you to your feet!
